Vision, Mission, Goals

VISION: The vision of the Summit County Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center is to become the service provider of choice for safety forces in Summit County by providing confidentiality, care, and comfort while helping participants resolve their unique problems and needs.

MISSION: The mission of the Summit County Safety Forces Chaplaincy Center is to incorporate its unique understanding of and experience in the safety professions to provide confidential emotional, mental health, substance abuse counseling, spiritual and material services free of cost to law enforcement, fire safety, dispatchers, and their families.

It provides cost-free counseling, substance abuse and material and spiritual assistance to all police and fire personnel in the Summit County. In 2012 there were more than 100 therapy sessions, 250 hours of substance abuse counseling and almost 1000 hours of assistance. At least 4 safety personnel are alive because of it.

The Center has four goals:

  3. Education
  4. Law enforcement/safety forces advocacy
